Person Suffers Major Injuries in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Union Avenue near 19th Street
Bakersfield, California (October 17, 2020) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Friday morning in Bakersfield, according to a local news source.
The major-injury pedestrian crash happened at about 6:01 a.m. Friday, October 16, in the 1900 block of Union Avenue near 19th Street, as per the report.
Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Union Avenue for an undetermined reason.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the pedestrian suffering from moderate to major injuries as a result of the accident. The victim, only identified as a male adult, was then taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The northbound lanes on Union Avenue between 18th and 19th Streets were closed as the authorities investigated the accident.
