Man Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Manor Street
Bakersfield, California (October 27, 2020) – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Monday evening in Bakersfield, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 4:30 p.m., on October 26, on Manor Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the white male pedestrian was in the roadway removing items from a commercial work vehicle when a white box truck struck him.

The male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol or speeding were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
