Pedestrian Killed in Bakersfield Train Crash near Cooley Drive and Eucalyptus Drive

Bakersfield, California (October 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train on Sunday afternoon in east Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident was reported at about 4:47 p.m. October 13, in the area of Cooley Drive and Eucalyptus Drive.
Deputies said the victim, possibly a man in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene after being hit by a train.
There were no reports of other injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
