Man Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash on Haley Street
Bakersfield, California (April 3, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Northeast Bakersfield on Tuesday night, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported shortly before 9 p.m. April 2, in the 3200 block of Haley Street.
The BPD said the man was not in the crosswalk when he was hit by a full-sized pickup truck that had been going north on Haley Street.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene and reportedly cooperated with the police.
Police said alcohol and speed were unlikely factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
