19-Year-Old Man Killed, 21-Year-Old Man Injured in Bakersfield Crash on Panama Lane near Highway 43

Bakersfield, California (November 29, 2020) – A 19-year-old man was killed, and a 21-year-old man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Sunday morning in Bakersfield, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at about 2:49 a.m. on Panama Lane, east of Highway 43.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2006 Toyota Corolla, driven by the 19-year-old man, was headed westbound on Panama Lane when it drifted off the roadway and overturned in the eastbound lane.
Unfortunately, an eastbound 2017 Toyota Camry, operated by the 21-year-old man, crashed into the overturned Toyota Corolla. The 19-year-old man was still inside at the time, the officials said.

Sadly, the 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 21-year-old man was seriously injured and was taken to Kern Medical for treatment, the CHP said.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the mishap.
