Bakersfield, California (January 16, 2021) – The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the cause of a major injury bicycle accident that took place Wednesday evening in Bakersfield.
Police responded to the major injury crash site at around 5 p.m., January 14, at Verde Street and H Street
It was not immediately established how the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the evening hours.

Paramedics rushed the rider to an area hospital for treatment of major injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
