Bakersfield Collision on Highway 58 near Union Avenue Seriously Injures One Person
Bakersfield, California (January 28, 2021) – Major injuries were reported Wednesday afternoon following a traffic collision involving a big rig in Bakersfield.
The major injury crash took place on Highway 58, near Union Avenue, shortly before 1:00 p.m.
The accident happened when the truck, traveling at a high-speed rate, merged into the highway and veered off to the right side. The big rig then sideswiped a semi-truck in the afternoon hours.
Due to the impact, the truck moved forward and rear-ended the car hauler.

One victim sustained major injuries while the big rig operator required to be hospitalized following the January 27 mishap.
