3 Hospitalized After Bakersfield Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 178 near Union Avenue
Bakersfield, California (June 23, 2020) – Three people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision that occurred in Bakersfield Tuesday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The major injury traffic crash happened at approximately 11:50 a.m. on eastbound State Route 178 (Highway 178).
As per the report, a Caltrans truck carrying attenuators collided with several other vehicles along the highway for unknown reasons.
Officials affirmed one of the involved vehicles was towing a Port-a-Potty that was destroyed in the mishap upon the impact.

A total of three unidentified victims were taken to the hospital by ambulances following the mishap. At least one of the patients had major injuries, while the other two were treated for minor injuries.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
