Bakersfield, California (July 13, 2021) – Two people were injured Monday night in a car crash in Bakersfield, authorities said.

The wreck occurred at about 7:43 p.m. Monday, July 12, on Truxtun Avenue near Westside Parkway.

According to the authorities, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason on Truxtun Avenue.

A man was ejected from his vehicle upon the impact.

The man sustained moderate injuries while a woman had minor injuries. The names of the patients and their conditions were not disclosed.

Police closed the Westside Parkway and Truxtun Avenue in both directions while the investigation and cleanup took place.
