50-Year-Old Woman Killed in Bakersfield Car Accident on Hughes Lane near Valley Plaza Mall
Bakersfield, California (November 25, 2019) – A person was killed Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident involving two vehicles in Bakersfield, authorities said.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24 on Hughes Lane near the Valley Plaza Mall.
According to the authorities, a vehicle, driven by a 50-year-old woman, was trying to turn southbound onto Hughes Lane from Holden Way when it was hit by a car driven by a 20-year-old man, who was traveling northbound on Hughes Lane.

The woman was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been released pending notification of family.
It was not immediately known if the man sustained injuries in the crash.
