Bakersfield, California (June 10, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a suspected hit-and-run accident that occurred in Bakersfield Tuesday afternoon, June 8.

Officials responded to the crash site at approximately 3:10 p.m. in the area of Potomac and Quantico avenues.

The accident involved at least two automobiles that crashed at the Bakersfield intersection under unclear circumstances.

The crash resulted in the closure of the intersection of Potomac and Quantico for unknown time.

The investigators are gathering more evidence to locate one of the drivers who escaped the scene after the accident.
