Several Hurt in Baker Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 15
Baker, California (July 14, 2019) – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon near Baker, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at about 3:00 p.m. July 13, on the northbound interstate 15.
CHP said a tractor-trailer heading south on Interstate 15 crashed through the center median and collided with several northbound vehicles.
3 Airlifted after Baker Multi-Vehicle Crash
One person riding in a white Ford SUV was ejected by the impact while another occupant was trapped and had to be extricated by the firefighters. One of the parties reportedly suffered a heart attack due to the crash.
Three medical helicopters responded to the accident and airlifted three critically injured patients. 12 other patients were transported by ground ambulances.
The CHP is investigating the collision.
