Audra Valverde Injured in Murrieta Accident on Interstate 15 near Murrieta Hot Springs Road

Murrieta, California (November 16, 2020) – Audra Valverde, 28, of Wildomar, was injured after being involved in a deadly traffic accident Saturday morning in Murrieta.
The crash transpired at about 9:44 a.m. Saturday, November 14, on the northbound Murrieta Hot Springs Road on-ramp to the northbound 15.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2014 Hyundai Sonata was stopped on the right shoulder of Murrieta Hot Springs Road on-ramp when it was rear-ended by a BMW sedan.
Edith Mary Honer, 88, of Murrieta, was standing near the driver’s side of the Sonata when she was struck by one of the vehicles.
The force of the impact caused Honer to be ejected onto the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:54 a.m.
Valverde, who was the driver of the BMW, sustained minor injuries. Margret Schilling, 91, of Wildomar, who was a passenger in the Hyundai, was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
Traffic on the on-ramp was stopped for about three hours due to the accident.
Further details regarding the collision were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
