Man Critically Injured in Auburn Motorcycle Crash on Lincoln Way

Auburn, California (September 10, 2019) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized with major injuries after a collision involving a suspected DUI driver on Monday afternoon in Auburn.
According to police, the crash happened in the 100 block of Lincoln Way shortly after 3:30 p.m. September 9.
Police said a man was driving westbound on Lincoln Way when, for unknown reasons, he drifted across the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming motorcyclist.
Rider Critically Hurt in Auburn Motorcycle Crash
The rider was taken to a hospital with critical injuries. His 10-year-old son was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle. He was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The driver of the car was found to have been drunk at the time of the collision and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The crash is under investigation.
