At Least 1 Killed in Auburn Car Collision on Highway 49 near Joeger Road

Auburn, California (December 7, 2019) – At least one person is dead in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Friday evening in Auburn, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said the collision occurred at around 5:10 p.m. on Highway 49 at Joeger Road.
Cal Fire reported that the crash involved four vehicles.
At least one person died in the wreck. There were no reports of any injuries.
A vehicle that was on fire was located in the left-turn lanes of Bell Road near the highway unknown if it was related to the crash. Firefighters were working to put out the fire.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
