1 Killed, Another Injured in Arvin Crash on Comanche Drive near Sunset Boulevard
Arvin, California (April 15, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident that happened Thursday afternoon in Arvin, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP said the incident was reported at around 1:44 p.m. on Comanche Drive, just north of Sunset Boulevard.
A party called authorities saying a motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into their vehicle. The party also added that their father was pinned inside the car, and the motorcyclist was unconscious.
Arvin police and firefighters responded to the scene and blocked both traffic lanes.
The report said the crash resulted in major injuries, and two people were taken to the hospital.
One person succumbed to their injuries, as per the report.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
