41-Year-Old Arturo Gonzalez Killed in Imperial Car Crash at Holt and Norrish roads
Imperial, California (June 12, 2019) – 41-year-old Arturo Gonzalez has been identified as the male party killed in a traffic crash in Imperial Monday afternoon.
The fatal collision was reported at about12:10 p.m. June 10, at the intersection of Holt and Norrish roads.
The accident happened when an SUV driven by Gonzalez was broadsided by a Volvo tractor with trailer combination driven by Gurpartap Singh, 27, of Ontario at the intersection. Due to the impact of the collision, the SUV was sent off into the Rosita’s Canal. The initial report showed that Singh failed to stop at the stop sign at the time of the collision.

Gonzalez was trapped inside his submerged vehicle following the crash. First responders arrived at the site and tried to save him, but they did not succeed. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police did not provide details regarding the other driver.
