Aristides Guerra Killed in Costa Mesa Accident at Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue

Costa Mesa, California (May 12, 2021) – Aristides Guerra, 53, of Santa Ana has been identified as the man who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday afternoon in Costa Mesa, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
The crash was reported at about 1:54 p.m. May 12, in the area of Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue.
As per the Costa Mesa Police Department, four vehicles crashed at the Costa Mesa intersection for unknown reasons.
One of the cars overturned upon the impact and the driver was trapped.
Aristides Guerra Killed in Costa Mesa Accident
The trapped driver, later identified as Guerra, died in the accident.
A second driver and their two passengers were taken to hospital for evaluation and treatment.
A third driver complained of back pain and sought own treatment.
The driver of the fourth vehicle was uninjured in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
