Anza, CA: Pedestrian Hit, Injured by Vehicle on Contreras Road
Pedestrian Airlifted after Anza Crash on Contreras Road near Highway 371
Anza, California (July 29, 2021) – A pedestrian was airlifted after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening in Anza, authorities said.
At around 7:26 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, officers from the Riverside County Fire Department responded to the 38800 block of Contreras Road near Highway 371, to investigate a report of a pedestrian having been hit by a vehicle.
The pediatric patient was airlifted to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The name of the victim was not released.
Part of Contreras Road was closed while the investigation took place. It was not immediately known if the driver involved stopped at or fled the scene after the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
