Anthony Rhoades Killed in Victorville Crash on Mariposa Road
Anthony Rhoades ID’d as Victim In Fatal Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Mariposa Road and Interstate 15 Palmdale Road Off-Ramp in Victorville

Victorville, California (April 4, 2021) – Authorities have identified the driver who died early Saturday morning following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Victorville as Anthony Alexander Rhoades, 37, of Hesperia.
The deadly accident happened at around 1:42 a.m. on Mariposa Road and Interstate 15 Palmdale Road exit.
Police said Rhoades, a community activist, was driving a silver 2006 Lexus IS northbound on Mariposa Road towards Kingswood Drive when, for unknown reasons, the Lexus veered off the roadway and rolled several times before coming to rest on the northbound Interstate 15 Palmdale Road off-ramp.
As the vehicle was overturning, Rhoades was thrown from the car.
First responders arrived at the scene and found Rhoades lying down in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other information about the accident was available.
The crash remains under investigation.
