Angelo Clavel, 21, Injured in Redwood City Multi-Car Crash on Highway 101 near Marsh Road
Redwood City, California (August 12, 2019) – Angelo Clavel, 21, of Redwood City, was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Redwood City, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened just after 2 a.m. August 11, on Highway 101 north of Marsh Road.
Authorities said a 2006 Honda was traveling northbound on Highway 101 when its driver lost control and crashed into the center divider. Shortly after, the Honda was hit by a 2018 BMW.
A Honda Civic tried to stop to avoid the crashed vehicles but was rear-ended by a 2014 Jeep. A Dodge Dart then slammed into the Jeep.

Clavel was a passenger in the 2006 Honda. He was transported to Stanford Medical Center with moderate injuries. A second passenger in the Honda was taken to the hospital with major injuries while a third passenger was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The driver of the 2006 Honda sustained minor injuries and was taken to San Mateo General Hospital. He was later arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked into San Mateo County Jail.
The driver of the Jeep was also arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
