Lakeland Village, California (October 21, 2020) – Angel Molina, 65, of Lake Elsinore, has been identified as the man who was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Tuesday morning in Lakeland Village, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau.

At around 12:15 a.m., on October 20, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly pedestrian accident in the 18200 block of Grand Avenue near Turner Street.

According to the CHP, Molina was struck by a 2004 Nissan Titan truck driven by Arturo Swadener, 66, of Lake Elsinore.

Sadly, Molina was pronounced dead at the scene.

Swadener, who was not injured in the accident, fled the scene and was later located on Aldelfa Street. He was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.

The crash remains under investigation.
