Victim Critically Injured in Santa Barbara Bicycle Crash on Highway 54 ID’d as Andrew Haslem
Santa Barbara, California (May 3, 2020) – 22-year-old Andrew Haslem, of Los Altos, has been identified as the UC Santa Barbara student who was critically hurt following a traffic crash that happened in Santa Barbara Saturday morning.
The May 2nd major injury collision occurred on Highway 154 near San Antonio Creek Road, a local news source reported.
Haslem was riding his bicycle down Highway 154 towards Santa Barbara when he collided with a Toyota Prius that was heading in the same direction at about 9:43 a.m.

Haslem sustained major injuries following the mishap. He was hospitalized at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
The wreck resulted in the closure of the highway as investigation and clean-up took place.
