Anaheim, CA: 1 Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Esperanza Road and Imperial Highway

Anaheim, California (November 9, 2019) – one person was struck and killed by a freight train in Anaheim on Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian collision happened at around 9:18 a.m. November 9, at the intersection of Esperanza Road and Imperial Highway.

The CHP said a person was struck by a BNSF train at the intersection for unknown reasons.

The victim was pronounced dead  following the wreck.

The crash resulted in the closure of the tracks between the Anaheim Canyon and West Corona stations, affecting the Inland Empire/OC, 91, and Orange County lines.
