Father, Child Injured in American Canyon Hit-and-Run Crash at Highway 29 and American Canyon Road
American Canyon, California (April 15, 2021) – A father and his child were injured Monday morning in a hit-and-run accident involving a motorcycle and a car at an American Canyon intersection, authorities said.
The crash happened just before 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 12, at the intersection of Highway 29 and American Canyon Road.
According to the authorities, a black sedan was heading northbound on Highway 29 and was attempting to make a left turn onto westbound American Canyon Road when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and clipped a motorcycle carrying a father and his child.
The father and the child, who were wearing their helmets, spilled to the pavement following the crash. Both were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the sedan did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. There was no description of the driver.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
The crash remains under investigation.
