Alvar Moreno ID’d as Man Killed in Santa Clara Car Accident on Monroe Street near Francis Avenue
Santa Clara, California (September 29, 2020) – Alvar Moreno, 18, from Santa Clara, has been identified as the man who was killed in a single-vehicle accident last week in Santa Clara, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:40 p.m. Monday, September 21, on Monroe Street near Francis Avenue.
According to the authorities, a 2009 Mini Cooper, driven by Moreno, was traveling eastbound on the roadway when, for unknown reasons, it crashed into a power pole.
Moreno was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed before the accident, the officials said.

Moreno sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on September 25.
Further details regarding the accident are yet to be established.
The crash remains under investigation.
