Alonzo Smith Seriously Injured in Rollover Crash on Interstate 5 in Westley
Alonzo Smith ID’d as Man Hospitalized after Westley Car Crash on Interstate 5 near Howard Road
Westley, California (December 11, 2020) – Alonzo Smith, 54, of Stockton, has been identified as the man who was seriously injured in a rollover crash on Wednesday evening near Westley on Stanislaus’ West Side, authorities said.
The major injury single-vehicle accident occurred at about 5:42 p.m., on December 9, on Interstate 5, just north of Howard Road.
According to the CHP, a white Chevrolet pickup, driven by Smith, was traveling southbound on the roadway when it went onto the dirt center median and turned back.
Unfortunately, the pickup overturned several times before coming to rest on its roof, the officials said.
Alonzo Smith Injured in Crash on Interstate 5
Smith, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected onto the roadway. He was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with undetermined internal injuries.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
