23-Year-Old Alonzo Prado Injured in Fatal Visalia Crash at Walnut Avenue and Court Street
Visalia, California (June 16, 2019) – A 23-year-old driver was injured in a fatal car accident that left his passenger dead in Visalia late Saturday night, according to the authorities.
The crash took place in the area of Walnut Avenue and Court Street at around 11:30 p.m. June 15.
According to police, a driver in a Lamborghini failed to stop for the authorities who were conducting a felony stop in the area of Walnut and Conyer Street.
The driver fled the scene and crashed into two vehicles at Walnut Avenue and Court Street. The vehicles struck were a Lincoln MKZ sedan and a Toyota Camry.
Alonzo Prado Injured in Fatal Visalia Traffic Collision
The driver of the Toyota, Alonzo Prado, 23, of Visalia, and his passenger, were both transported to Kaweah Delta Medical center, where the female passenger was pronounced deceased. The identity of the deceased victim was not released.
The driver of the Lincoln sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the Lamborghini was hospitalized with a back injury. Police said the driver is expected to face multiple charges including felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
The crash is under investigation.
