Rider Seriously Injured in Alameda County Motorcycle Crash on Highway 580 near Grant Line Road
Alameda County, California (October 17, 2019) – One person was seriously injured in a motorcycle collision early Thursday morning in Alameda County, according to the CHP.
The collision happened at about 4:50 a.m. on Highway 580 near Grant Line Road, east of the Altamont Pass.
CHP said a motorcyclist was involved in a crash with two other vehicles in the westbound lanes of Highway 580.
Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Alameda County Crash
The motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Multiple lanes of westbound Highway 580 were blocked as crews worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
