Ahwahnee, California (June 19, 2019) – One party was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in the area of Ahwahnee in Madera County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at around 7:12 a.m. Wednesday, on Highway 49 and Road 600.

As per the CHP officials, two vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the crash victims. One person was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately known.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles away from the crash site.

Authorities closed northbound lane following the crash. The roadway was cleared as of 8:11 a.m.

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.

An investigation is underway.
