Stockton, California (January 29, 2019) – Two people were killed and several injured after a traffic collision Sunday morning in the area of Stockton, according to a local news source.
The collision happened at an unspecified time at East March Lane and Bianchi Road.
27-year-old Ahmad Jamir Sonley and 27-year Elizabeth Keosay, all residents of Stockton were identified as the fatal victims.
Sonley and Keosay were reportedly driving eastbound on March lane when their car collided with another vehicle for unknown reasons at the intersection. The impact caused their car to swerve off the roadway and crash into a traffic signal pole. The force from the second collision ejected Sonley and Keosay from the car.
It was unclear whether the fatal victims were declared dead at the scene or at a hospital.
Four persons in the second vehicle were injured as a result of the collision and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
The names of the injured parties were not immediately released.
