Agustin Hernandez ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Indio Crash at Monroe Street and Requa Avenue
Indio, California (April 22, 2019) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday morning in Indio as Agustin Hernandez, 70, of Indio.
The deadly accident occurred at about 6:00 a.m. Sunday, April 21 at the intersection of Monroe Street and Requa Avenue.
According to the authorities, Hernandez was hit by a passing vehicle at the intersection.

Hernandez sustained grave injuries and later succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Drugs or alcohol were not suspected factors in the accident.
Monroe at Requa was closed for an unknown time following the crash.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
