Adrian Medina, 2, Among 2 Children Injured in Modesto Crash on Grayson Road near Vivian Road
Modesto, California (April 2, 2019) – One of the two children injured in a two-vehicle collision suspected to have been caused by drunk driving in Modesto Sunday afternoon has been identified as Adrian Medina, 2, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened on Grayson Road near Vivian Road at about 1:30 p.m. March 31.
CHP said a 1994 Mazda B4000 traveling northbound on Vivian Road crashed into the driver’s side of a 2008 Saturn Outlook that was heading west on Grayson Road. The impact caused the Mazda to overturn while the Saturn traveled off the side of the roadway and slammed into a metal fence.

Adrian Medina, 3, was one of the passengers in the Saturn. He was flown to the children’s hospital at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for treatment of minor injuries. The four occupants of the Mazda and the other two occupants of the Saturn were taken to hospitals for treatment of minor-to-major injuries.
The driver of the Mazda was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He may also be facing other charges of illegal gun possession.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
