Adelaida San Miguel ID’d as Woman Killed in Poway Pedestrian Accident at Strip Mall on Poway Road

Poway, California (March 9, 2021) – A friend has identified the woman who died after being struck by a semi-tractor trailer Wednesday morning in Poway as Adelaida San Miguel, 81, of Poway Villa.
The deadly accident happened at around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at a Strip Mall located in the 13300 block of Poway Road.
San Miguel was walking to Grocery Outlet in the shopping center when she was hit by a northbound semi-tractor trailer. She was dragged approximately 50 feet and then ran over by the semi-tractor trailer.
San Miguel died at the scene.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
