Injuries Reported in Acton Big Rig Crash on 14 Freeway near Crown Valley Road

Acton, California (July 2, 2021) – Injuries were reported in a traffic collision involving a big rig in Acton on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened on the 14 Freeway, just south of Crown Valley Road at around 2:45 p.m.
CHP said a big rig and a vehicle were involved in the collision.
One of the drivers was suspected to have been driving the wrong way.

Two people suffered injuries of unknown severity and were both taken to a hospital.
The crash also caused the big rig to catch fire and sparked a quarter-acre brush fire in the area.
The highway was closed near the scene as crews worked to clear the scene.
The CHP is working to determine the cause of the crash.
