Canyon Country Man Killed in Acton Crash on Sierra Highway near Mountain Springs Road
Acton, California (March 26, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday night traffic accident that killed a Canyon Country man in Acton.
The deadly accident occurred at about 7:45 p.m., on March 25, on Sierra Highway near Mountain Springs Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Corolla was headed southbound on the highway when it collided with the dirt shoulder, resulting in the vehicle going across all lanes.
Following the collision, the Toyota was then hit on the passenger’s side by a northbound vehicle.
First responders arrived at the scene and extricated three parties who were trapped in their vehicles.
The Canyon Country man sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The driver of the Toyota, Emily Dominguez, 19, of Santa Clarita, was arrested for felony DUI causing death.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
