Man in His 40s Killed in Torrance Work Accident at Torrance Refining Company on 190th Street
Torrance, California (July 13, 2019) – A worker was killed in an accident at a Torrance Refinery on Thursday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at about 4:08 p.m. July 11, at the Torrance Refining Company in the 3700 block of 190th Street.
Authorities said the worker was performing routine maintenance work in an empty tank when a heavy object fell and struck him.

Emergency crews responded to the incident and performed life-saving measures on the victim, who was in full cardiac arrest after the accident.
The victim was then rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after.
The Cal-OSHA is investigating the incident.
