Steve Pruett Hurt in Los Banos Car Accident on Ingomar Grade

Los Banos, California (July 9, 2019) – A 60-year-old man was injured in a traffic collision involving a suspected DUI driver on Monday afternoon in Los Banos, according to the CHP.
The crash took place at about 4:45 p.m. July 8, on Ingomar Grade south of Cottonwood Road.
CHP said a 1994 Honda was southbound on Ingomar Grade when the driver made an unsafe turn and crossed the double yellow lines. The Honda collided head-on with an oncoming 2006 Toyota driven by Steve Pruett, 60, of Delhi.
Pruett was stuck inside the wreckage and had to be helped out by the emergency crews.

Pruett sustained major injuries and was transported by helicopter to a Modesto hospital.
The other driver was also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. He was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
CHP is investigating the accident.
