Salinas, California (July 8, 2019) – Two persons were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision Monday morning in the area of Salinas, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The multi-vehicle collision happened at about 6:19 a.m. Monday, July 7, at Highway 183 and Espinosa Road.

As per the CHP officials, three vehicles collided for reasons still under investigation.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. Two people complained of pain as a result of the crash and were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries of unknown degree.

The name of the patients and their current condition was not immediately known.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
