2 Killed, 5 Injured in Lamorinda DUI Crash on Highway 24 near Fish Ranch and Wilder Roads
Contra Costa, California (July 2, 2019) – Two people were killed and five others injured after a DUI head-on collision early Sunday morning in the area of Lamorinda in Contra Costa, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at around 1:50 a.m. Sunday, June 30, on westbound Highway 24 between Fish Ranch and Wilder roads.
As per the report, a Saturn Vue was traveling wrong-way when it struck a westbound Toyota Camry.
Emergency crews declared the Saturn driver and their passenger dead as a result of the crash. Five men in the Toyota Camry suffered severe injuries in the crash.
The Camry driver was flown by life-flight helicopter to Kaiser Permanente Hospital for treatment.
The names of the victims were not immediately available.
No other details concerning this crash were provided.
