Sacramento, California (June 28, 2019) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car in Sacramento last weekend on Saturday evening has been identified as 56-year-old Florentino Gomez Baca.

The fatal pedestrian crash was reported at approximately 9:50 p.m. June 22, on Howe Avenue near Cottage Way.

The accident happened when Gomez Baca was hit by an unspecified vehicle while walking right outside the Northwood Apartments.

Baca sustained life-threatening injuries following the wreck. The 56-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the involved vehicle was not hurt injured in the wreck.

The officials affirmed that the motorist was not intoxicated at the time of the collision.
