Palm Springs, California (June 5, 2019) – The person who was killed Wednesday morning in a traffic crash at a Palm Springs intersection has been identified as Marie Alfano, 86, of Palm Springs.

The tragic accident was reported at around 11:50 a.m. at the intersection of Alejo Road and Burton Way near the Palm Springs International Airport.

According to police, a Nissan Titan pickup collided with a Nissan Titan pickup for an unspecified reason at the Palm Springs intersection.

Marie Alfano Identified as Victim of Deadly Car Crash in Palm Springs 

Alfano was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center, where she later succumbed her injuries.

The other driver was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with moderate to serious injuries. The name and condition of the patient at this time remained unknown.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
