Guillermo Velasquez Among 2 Killed in Barstow Car Crash on Old Highway 58 near Irwin Road

Barstow, California (June 2, 2019) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner has identified Guillermo Velasquez, 34, of Barstow as one of the two people who were killed in a head-on crash in Barstow Friday night.
The fatal crash, which was reported at about 10:19 p.m. Friday, May 31, happened on Old Highway 58 near Irwin Road.
Officials said a pick-up truck and a sedan collided head-on for an unknown reason on Old Highway 58.

Velasquez was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was also killed in the wreck.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
