Elderly Man Injured in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident at Fifth and Mission Streets
San Francisco, California (June 1, 2019) – A man was hospitalized after being hit by a bicycle rider at an intersection in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood Friday evening, police said.
The incident took place at Fifth and Mission streets on Friday, May 31.
Police said an elderly man walking along the curb stepped into the street to cross Mission Street and was hit by a bicyclist traveling on Fifth Street.
Man Hurt in San Francisco Pedestrian Crash
The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a hospital with lacerations to his head.
The rider, whose condition was unknown, remained at the scene.
Police are investigating the incident.
