Chad Laird, 29, Hurt in Fatal Car Crash on Highway 132 in Modesto
29-Year-Old Chad Laird Injured in Modesto Car Accident on Highway 132 near Hayward Road

Modesto, California (May 21, 2019) – One of the five people who injured Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident that also killed one person near La Grange has been identified as Chad Laird, 29, of La Grange, according to a local news report.
The wreck took place just before 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19 on Highway 132, just east of Hayward Road.
As per the report, an unidentified woman was driving a Nissan sedan eastbound on Highway 132 when for an as of yet to be determined reason she allowed her vehicle to drift into the westbound lane, where a westbound 2016 Subaru sedan hit it.
The force of the impact caused the Nissan to left the roadway and burst into flames.

The driver of the Nissan was unable to free herself from her burning vehicle and died at the scene. Her name has not been released pending notification of family.
The driver of the Subaru was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with minor injuries. Laird and three juvenile passengers in the Subaru were transported to Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock with minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
