Landers, California (May 17, 2019) – At least one person was airlifted after being involved in a head-on-collision in Landers Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred at around 4:42 p.m. May 16, along Highway 247, also known as Old Woman Springs Road.
The collision involved a 2019 blue F150 pickup truck and a gray SUV which crashed head-on on Highway 247. As per the California Highway Patrol report, one of the vehicles involved was allegedly travelling at high speed when it struck the other.
One party sustained injuries following the wreck. The victim was transported to the hospital by an air ambulance for treatment. The identity and the extent of the injuries suffered by the victim have not yet been released to this time.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more information to determine why the accident occurred.
