Santa Ana, California (May 14, 2019) – Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a traffic accident in Santa Ana, according to a local news source.

The wreck happened at the crossroads of Edward Russell Elementary School and a shopping center Monday, May 13.

According to Witnesses, the driver of a white sedan lost control and crashed into a semitrailer. The force of the impact caused the sedan to roll over and landed on its roof.

Bystanders worked together to upright the sedan. Two people were still trapped inside, the 25-year old driver and his 24-year old passenger.  Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated the couple inside.

Both were transported to a hospital where the driver was listed in critical condition. Their names have not been disclosed.

The crash remains under investigation.
