1 Killed, 3 Hospitalized after North Park Crash on I-805 at El Cajon Boulevard
San Diego, California (May 6, 2019) – One person was killed and three others injured in a multi-vehicle wreck early Monday morning in North Park, according to the CHP.
The crash took place at about 12:45 a.m. on the southbound I-805 near El Cajon Boulevard.
CHP said a small white car and a box truck collided, and the vehicles blocked at least one lane of traffic.
One Driver Dies in North Park Multi-Vehicle Wreck
When the driver of the white car stepped out, a Mercedes-Benz crashed into the box truck, pushing it into the pedestrian.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the box truck and a two people in the Mercedes were hospitalized for their injuries. No details were provided on the extent of the injuries.
CHP said alcohol or drugs do not appear to have played a role in the collision.
The crash is under investigation.
