Man Killed, 4 Injured in Lucerne Valley Pedestrian Crash on State Highway 18 near Christenson Road
Lucerne Valley, California (May 5, 2019) – A man was killed and four others injured in an auto-pedestrian accident in Lucerne Valley on Saturday night, police said.
The accident was reported around 10:38 p.m. May 4, on State Highway 18 near Christenson Road.
Police said a woman driving a minivan on State Highway 18 struck an adult male in the roadway. The driver then lost control and flipped multiple times.
Pedestrian Killed in Lucerne Valley Traffic Collision
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was ejected by the crash and was airlifted to a trauma center with major injuries.
A baby and two other occupants of the van were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
