Tehama County, California (May 1, 2019) – One person was killed and two other people were injured when a Cessna 182 plane crashed late Wednesday morning in eastern Tehama County, authorities said.

The deadly accident happened near the intersection of Highway 172 and Highway 36 in Child’s Meadow.

Details regarding what led to the crash were not immediately released.

According to the California Highway Patrol, one person died in the crash. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

Two others were injured. One of them had critical injuries.

Authorities said the crash occurred near Mineral. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident.
